Design Limits Evaporative Losses:

  • Evaporative losses limited to rim seal system, deck fittings, and exposed liquid on tank walls.

  • Standing storage loss and withdrawal loss are considered.

Critical Criteria for Effective Rim Seal:

  • Compliance with basic criteria for cost-effectiveness.

  • Parts designed to be product-resistant due to contact.

  • UV-resistant materials used for parts exposed to sunlight.

  • Wear-resistant materials for parts involved in sliding movements.

The 'GREENDECK-1 PT Pantograph Type Mechanical Seal' system is widely adopted for floating roof tanks, covering a broad range from 10 m to 100 m in diameter and accommodating storage of both crude oil and refined oil products.

The pantograph system with weight ensures continuous contact between the Shoe Plate and the tank shell.

The 'GREENDECK-1ST/2ST Spring Type Mechanical Seal' system stands out as a highly effective solution, striking a balance between cost and sealing ability. It has proven successful on tanks ranging from 10m to 100m in diameter.

The powerful stainless steel Pusher Spring ensures continuous contact between the Shoe Plate and the tank shell, contributing to the seal's effectiveness in reducing vapor loss with top-quality materials.

FOAM SEAL

General:

The 'GREENDECK-FOAM Foam Seal' system has gained recognition and preference from customers globally for its exceptional performance. It has been successfully utilized on tanks ranging from 10m to 98m in diameter.

The efficient design features an octagonal foam block covered with an envelope, ensuring continuous contact with the tank shell. The foam section is securely fixed in position by a hold-down plate.

The determination of the seal mounting position, whether liquid-mounted or vapor-mounted, is contingent upon the presence of the Seal mounting plate.

General:

The 'GREENDECK- 1TLF, TUBE Liquid Filled Tube Seal' system is meticulously designed as a liquid-mounted seal, filled with liquid, typically kerosene or gas oil. It is specifically tailored for use on tanks containing the full spectrum of crude oil and refined petroleum products.

The liquid-filled tube exerts pressure on the scuff band, ensuring efficient contact with the tank shell.

The scuff band is engineered with a ribbed surface to withstand contact with the rough tank shell.

•Comprising compression plates with a seal blade and curtain seal (vapor barrier), this seal ensures consistent contact between the seal blade and tank shell due to the tension pressure of the compression plate.

•The GREENDECK-20 system is versatile, compatible with any type of primary seal, making it suitable for tanks containing various crude oils and refined products.
